She was such a gorgeous woman, and yes I realize this has nothing to with Disney. I’m getting to that… :)

CONGRATULATIONS!!! You’ve been accepted into the Disney College Program! So, what’s next? Accepting your offer! That’s what!

You have 10 days from the day you get your acceptance letter to fully accept your offer, and its very, very simple!

Step 1: Read through your offer letter and on the bottom, it will have a drop box asking if you accept, if you accept click yes. If not, click no, and choose one of the options listed as to why you aren’t accepting your offer.

Step 2: Pay your program fees. In your offer letter there is a link that says “PAY PROGRAM FEES” or something to that effect. It’s in a yellow box. Click that link and that will take you to the page where you can pay. The fee is $304.95 ($100 Program fee, $200 Housing fee, and a $4.95 processing fee)

Step 3: Select your arrival and departure dates. This is done in the same way as when you picked the date/time for your interview, however rather than having dates you can choose and then about 20 or so times you can choose, you can only pick the arrival date. The time is all the same (Usually 9AM!).

Finish these three steps and you have successfully accepted your offer from the Disney Company for the College Program! You will then be sent an email asking for more information for payroll, Human Resources, and the like.

Have a MAGICAL day!!!

Today’s been pretty hectic. Working at a chocolate store 2 days before Valentine’s Day is always gonna be hectic. Within an hour of getting to work I cut my finger and spilled my boss’ coffee. Yeah… And then not to mention that by the time we closed I was so frazzled I couldn’t even count the deposit, that added to the pain in my shoulder… In short… I had a pretty crappy day, but I had to keep reminding myself of my new mantra,

Stay Calm.
Think Disney!
93 DAYS!!!!

So, once you have accepted your offer, paid your fees and picked your program dates you then have to worry about flights (if your flying), a hotel to stay at, and the all important “I HAVE TO BE AT CHECK IN HOW EARLY!?” Yeah. That’s right. A lot to do before you even start packing! Booking a flight isn’t too hard. There are tons of online travel sites now that can give you the cheapest rates on flights. You just have to decide what class (business, economy, coach, first) you want to fly. For me, its a 2 hour ish flight, so I’ll be flying coach. Now the hotel. Check in takes place at the Vista Way Apartment complex. There is a hotel right across the street. Sun spree Orlando. Or, you could always stay in a Disney Resort! Keep in mind there is no transportation from Disney Resorts to Vista Way unless you have your CP ID which you won’t receive until Traditions, so you’d need to rent a car or call a cab!

Now that the easier parts are done, here’s the toughie. In order to be sure you get into the complex you want with your roomies you best be sure to get there bright and early… Actually… Dark and early. Think like between 3 and 4 AM… And check in starts at 9… Yeah. You’re gonna be waiting, so dress warm because the nights can be chilly, bring a flashlight, your on boarding paper work, Identification (Birth Certificate & SS card, etc.), and a book or something to do because even if they start check in early you’ll be there between 4 and 5 hours. That… My fellow DCP’ers is a promise!!!

My first Tumblr post.

Yesterday, February 8, 2012 my dreams all started to come true! I was accepted to the Disney College Program for Fall Advantage 2012 as a Character Attendant… but the process was by no means easy.

I applied for Spring Advantage 2012, was pended, and then in December was rejected.

I applied again, actually prepared for my phone interview and made sure to ask my interviewer a question I was sure no other DCP’er had asked before!!! Then the waiting came, and fifteen days after my AMAZING phone interview, I got my acceptance email!!

These are the adventures of my Disney College Program, from beginning (Packing, Picking Roomies, Flying Down, Check-in, Traditions {BUT NOT THE SECRETS!}) to the end! :) Stay Tuned! Its gonna be the most wonderful ride of my entire life!!!
